Supporting the Close the Gap Scheme

At Wulguru Pharmacy, we’re proud to support and participate in the ‘Close the Gap’ Indigenous health scheme. This is a government initiative that aims to improve the health and well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. 

 

The program focuses on reducing the gap in health outcomes between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians by providing better access to healthcare services, increasing health awareness and education, and addressing social and economic factors that contribute to poor health. The program has a particular focus on improving maternal and child health, reducing the incidence of chronic diseases, and addressing mental health and social and emotional well-being.
